TEAMS AND CAPTAINS
The Dance Marathon Captains and Team Members are the student volunteers that make it all happen at Dance Marathon! These volunteers help feed, organize, entertain, and motivate Dance Marathon's dedicated dancers!
Dance Marathon Captains:
Captains make a yearlong commitment to Dance Marathon and are present throughout the event. Please check back in Fall 2010 for information on how to apply to be a captain for DM 2011!
Dance Marathon Team Members:
Dance Marathon Team Members are the volunteers that help Dance Marathon run smoothly for the dancers! Team Members volunteer in shifts at Dance Marathon, and they also meet several times throughout the spring semester with their team's captains and overall chair to prepare for Dance Marathon. Please check back in early Spring 2011 for information on how to apply to be a team member for DM 2011!

Community Events Team
Chris DawsonCommunity Events Chair Responsible for organizing events which reach out to the community, UF students and staff. Events may include fundraisers, a high school Mini-marathon, and a silent auction. Events are held both prior to and during Dance Marathon.
Dancer Relations Team
Meredith HollisterDancer Relations Chair Responsible for taking care of the dancers from the moment they register until they leave the event. These responsibilities include dancer registration, the spirit competition, dancer meetings, medical room, event guests, and dancer retention events. We also take care of the dancers on an organizational level by coordinating an in-depth delegate program, making sure dancers and organizations are always aware of information regarding UFDM.
Entertainment Team
Trent WilliamsEntertainment Chair Responsible for soliciting various types of entertainment for Dance Marathon, taking care of the entertainers at the event, communicating with the DJ, and organizing cameo presentations.
Family Relations Team
Caitlin CutterFamily Relations Chair Responsible for serving as the liaison between Dance marathon and the
Miracle Families. These responsibilities include contacting Miracle
Families, organization of the pen pal program, assisting with Peds Movie
Night at Shands Children's Hospital at UF, decoration of the family room,
and keeping the Miracle Kids entertained during the event.
Finance Team
Ashley DingmanFinance Chair Responsible for tracking all DM contributions, maintaining financial records for each participating organization as well as records for the entire event. These responsibilities include processing dancer registration fees, money for all pre-events, the Letter Writing Campaign and online donations. This team works closely with the Children's Miracle Network office to process all donations and thank the event donors.
Hospitality Team
Bailey HebrankHospitality Chair Responsible for planning, soliciting, and serving a continuous and consistent flow of snacks and meals to the dancers including those with special dietary needs so as to maintain their motivation, stamina, and nutritional well being throughout the event.
Marketing Team
Ashley DelaneyMarketing Chair Responsible for designing a marketing scheme for Dance Marathon, soliciting the community and national businesses for monetary and in-kind donations.
Morale Team
Kristen GillisMorale Chair Responsibilities include planning activities, games, and contests to keep the dancers entertained and their spirits high. It is this committee's job to make Dance Marathon an enjoyable experience for all dancers so that they will stay for the entire 32 hours and return next year with new people. Main responsibilities include theme hours, line dance, cheer, mail call, foot massages, dancer bags, dancer/morale pairings, downtime games, and most of all FUN! Morale works with all committees to insure that the timing, food, entertainment and more is just right.
Operations Team
Alex AndradeOperations Chair Responsible for communicating with the staff at the Stephen C. O'Connell
Center prior to Dance Marathon, and for security and strike at the event.
Public Relations Team
Tracy FlackPublic Relations Chair Responsible for the promotion of Dance Marathon both on campus and in the community.
Recruitment Team
Bailey KilbourneRecruitment Chair Responsible for the recruitment of dancers, captains, and team members. Recruitment captains contact each campus organization during the fall to schedule and give presentations to get organizations and individuals excited about Dance Marathon! This team also works with DM faculty involvement.
Technology Team
Jerome MorrisonTechnology Chair Responsible for website design, video editing projects, and video projection at the event.
